Watch a concrete foundation formed and poured.
We lucked out by avoiding the rain and saving the days it would have taken for things to dry out. After pouring the footings last Thursday and letting them cure, we formed and poured the basement walls today.
A big SHOUT OUT to Ron at REMLEY FOUNDATIONS and to his great crew. Also the timely delivery of 5 load of concrete from NORTHLAND READY MIX, and the great job done my Mike from HALLEY CONCRETE PUMPING. You guys are top notch in your industry.
In addition to the great work done by everyone today, the crew at Remley Foundations was excellent in completing the project without a hitch. Rosie said they worked together like a team with everyone knowing exactly what they were supposed to be doing at every moment. I think she mentioned a Swiss watch comparison. I have to agree.
The next step is the plumber, who can put in his work while the foundation is curing for the next week to ten days. After that, the flatwork crew from Mark Mead will pour the garage and lower level floors. During that process, the waterproofing on the below grade concrete can be done, the drain tile put in, and the backfill finished.
After that, the framing begins and things start happening at a much faster speed and it starts looking like a real house. Can't wait!
I appreciate everyone who took the time to watch this video. I hope you LIKED it.
