I purchased the new Gxve Beauty dewy plump collagen lip gel in bouquet the Sephora sale! Here’s my quick review:
This is not a lip gel like I was expecting. When I hear “gel” I think Fitglow lip serums, make beauty lip serum, live tinted huegloss, etc - a cushiony, buttery smooth formula with some slip.
The Gxve Beauty dewy plump lip gel is not that at all. To me, it feels exactly like their bubble pop electric gold in different packaging, but with a smoothing quality.
It’s a VERY thick, quite sticky formula with a strong cake batter smell and an insanely impressive smoothing quality. So avoid these if you want a lightweight formula, but pick one up if you love thicker glosses that smooth lip lines.
The shade bouquet is really pretty but it’s not even close to what the pictures looked like on Sephora. I thought I was getting a bright pinky coral shade, but bouquet is a light milky pink. I think one of the darker shades would suit me best because bouquet leaves a bit of a white ring around my lips.
Overall, I don’t think the product fits the name but it’s fantastic if you like a thick, smoothing gloss.
