This Japanese Website just published new gameplay screenshots that AREN’T on the PlatinumGames’ blog site for Bayonetta Origins!
This video will be analyzing and breaking them ALL DOWN for you! From the translations, the NEW UI for this game, NEW CHARACTERS, NEW CINEMATIC SCREENSHOTS, and even explaining the plot points the websites have confirmed.
But remember in the previous video we talked about the possibility of a Faery Village within the forest, well finally they’ve shown us something along the lines of that. It gives off that Nightmare Before Christmas/Coraline vibes, but it looks like a clover-inspired section of the Avalon Forest. What really got my attention was this mysterious figure wearing a maroon gown, who has huge goat horns.
I like to think this is an Umbran Witch since that could be an Umbran Watch that she has on her chest, but you also have that Marroon, reddish color palette with golden features similar to Viola’s Sword, which by the way, was forged in the Avalon Forest by Queen Mab who was Queen of the Faeries.
So is this Queen Mab, before she became Queen of Faeries who made the sword and sheath inspired by her color palette which made its way across the Multiverse to Viola, who was worthy of mastering its potential.
I like to think this could also be an Umbran Witch who potentially knows about Cereza’s master or whoever that new witch is in the trailer.
I’m just tying the similarities together but Queen Mab is referenced in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and regarded as Queen of the Fairies in that story so that’s a cool little inspiration for you there.
