In this video, I compare Final Cut Pro X 10.4.8 vs 10.4.9 using the 2020 5K imac with 10-Core i9 5.0Ghz CPU and AMD 5700XT 16GB testing out HEVC 10-bit HDR video editing and rendering as well as RED 4K and 8K .R3D RAW using the new Metal GPU decoding which really helps. I also attempt to playback Canon Cinema raw 4K and 8K footage from the C200 and EOS R5.
Right now we are waiting for Canon RAW Plugin 2.0 for Final Cut Pro X as its prerelease and the current version available is 1.5 on Canon site. I will add a RAW Plugin 2 download link as soon as I find it. In my next one I will take a look at 10th gen 2020 imac hevc 10-bit 4:2:2 decoding for Clog C-log and HDR video editing.
