🔶 Enable/Disable DX11/DX12/Vulkan via Command Line Arguments/Launch Options 🔶
Adding one of the following commands to the command line arguments/launch options will force the game to start with the respective Graphics API:
-dx11
-dx12
-vulkan

🔶 Enable/Disable DX11/DX12/Vulkan via config file 🔶
*consider backing up your config files if you are not used to this kind of stuff*
Open the config file (copy paste into file explorer):
%localappdata%\FactoryGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini
To enable DX12 add the following 2 lines to the config file:
[/Script/WindowsTargetPlatform.WindowsTargetSettings]
DefaultGraphicsRHI=DefaultGraphicsRHI_DX12
To enable Vulkan add the following 2 lines to the config file:
[/Script/WindowsTargetPlatform.WindowsTargetSettings]
DefaultGraphicsRHI=DefaultGraphicsRHI_Vulkan
To enable DX11 simply remove the above lines from the Engine.ini config file AND add the following to your GameUserSettings.ini config file:
[D3DRHIPreference]
bPreferD3D12InGame=False
