I’ve had this @kaffefassettstudio cotton poplin in my stash for over a year and I knew that now was the time to sew it up, otherwise I’d have to wait until next summer!
I hadn’t used it yet because I wasn’t totally sure how I was going to place the print. I decided to use the circle accents down the center front and back and along the neckline. I think they almost look like jewelry!
This is my Essex dress pattern with the puffed sleeve version, it’s a pull over style (no zipper!) and of course, it has pockets.
The only change I made was to shorten the sleeves about 2 inches because I was short on fabric (pattern placement and a one directional print takes a lot more yardage!)
I wore this out today and the color definitely stands out on the street but it’ll be absolutely perfect for summer evenings and things!
