SUPERCHAT TTS GUIDE! Use these tips to avoid having Plankton (Text-To-Speech) skip your superchat:
1: There is a threshold for how much a superchat needs to be for it to be read aloud by TTS. Usually its 5 American dollars, but on streams where I want to be interrupted less it may be set higher.
2: TTS goes by American currency, so be mindful of exchange rates. If you donate 5 Canadian dollars, Youtube will list it in the chat as CA $5.00, but this is only $3.74 in USD and will be skipped.
3: When donating from an IOS device, a penny will be rounded off, turning a 5 dollar superchat into a $4.99 superchat. Apparently this is Apple taking their cut? $4.99 superchats are SOMETIMES read by TTS, but sometimes are not. I wouldn't risk it, so you can either superchat a higher amount or just send superchats from a PC.
4: Be patient! It can take up to 6 minutes for Plankton to read a superchat. It also sometimes reads them out of order.
5: If you send a horny/lascivious/vulgar superchat and it annoys me enough, I may tell the mods to mute or ban you. You've been warned!
6: If after following these rules your superchat is STILL skipped, let a mod know and they'll screenshot it and send it to me, and I'll read it aloud myself at the end of the show.
