We don’t like to admit it, but car prices just keep on heading upward.
However, you can pick up the latest Dacia Duster for under £20,000. This certainly seems like the SUV bargain of the year, but why exactly is it so cheap?
At first glance, the new Duster looks like an even more rugged machine than before, and its Renault Clio underpinnings mean it’s rather comfortable and even surprisingly enjoyable to drive. There’s also space for all the family. So far so good…
Take a step inside, and it’s here where Dacia’s cost-saving becomes the most apparent as there are plenty of hard plastic surfaces to be found. However, this is a car that’s proudly low-cost, and what it lacks in plushness it makes up for in durability. You won’t go wanting for tech, either, as all but the very cheapest model come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen media system. There’s also plenty of safety gear, even if the reversing camera is rather low-res.
