Copilot Studio has a whole new way to build agents, and in this video you are going to see exactly what changed.
We will walk through the new Copilot Studio experience from start to finish so you can see how the new agents work, how the new GitHub Copilot harness changes the experience, and why these agents feel much more capable than what you may be used to.
You are going to see model selection, Skills, Tools, Knowledge, Connected Agents, Memory, Preview, Evaluate, Monitor, publishing, and more.
One of the biggest changes is Skills. You can now take the same SKILL.md based skills you are already using in tools like Copilot Cowork and reuse them inside Copilot Studio. In the demo, you will see an existing PowerPoint branding skill moved from Cowork into Copilot Studio and then used by an agent to create a branded PowerPoint using employee data pulled from SharePoint.
We will also look at how tools work in the new experience, including SharePoint actions, authentication, inputs and outputs, and why good tool names and descriptions are so important when the agent is deciding what to use.
And yes, we need to talk about Copilot Credits. The new harness uses Copilot Credits while you build, test, preview, and run your agents, so the licensing and cost model is different from the classic Copilot Studio experience.
Finally, you will see why I think these new Copilot Studio agents could become an important companion to Copilot Cowork. Instead of distributing the same reusable skill to dozens of users, you may be able to package that repeatable business process into an agent, centrally manage it, control the cost, and give everyone the same experience.
