Sega's GameGear was my handheld of choice back in the early 90s and while at the time it felt like a top of the range piece of kit, these days the screen leaves a lot to be desired and the d-pad while certainly not the worst is a far cry from modern thumbsticks.
But after a little shopping on Aliexpress and eBay I aim to put that right with a new screen, a new thumbstick d-pad replacement and since we're at it, how about a new case and set of buttons.
The aliexpress screen I bought is no longer stocked so I can't link it but plenty others are available that look similar. Just make sure to save the instrcutions.
