Please be kind here, I'm not very good at doing these kinds of videos. It even took me a good hour to figure out how to export a 4k video in Final Cut Pro (lol).
Just a quick test and look at the Settings Menu in the new Canon 90D camera. The camera was set to 4k but recorded the 4k footage onto the Atomos Ninja Flame Monitor/Recorder instead of in-camera. It ended up being 78GB worth of video with these settings even with using 422 LT on the Flame (lol).
This won't be the best representation of 4k as I didn't have the best focus. I'm not used to using Auto Focus and had been switching back and forth from Manual to AF, so apologies in advance.
At 1:47: The 90D does have Movie Cropping that can be used, but it's a small zoom. They eliminated the 3x-10x in-camera digital zoom that the 80D offers.
At 6:53: During movie recording, you are able to use a slower shutter speed than the usual 1/30 or 1/60 - it can go down to 1/8, but doing so will be quite jittery. It'll be interesting to see if going down to around 1/20 will help in nearly dark conditions.
At 8:15: The only photo I took with the 90D using the Canon 17-55mm F/2.8 lens
At 8:47: The new Canon F/2.8L 70-200mm IS III USM lens was used on the 90D. The lens was on sale $300 off. It is sweet and even takes sharp photos wide open at F/2.8.
