BMW has quietly updated one of its most iconic symbols – the roundel. First shown on the all-new iX3, the new badge looks familiar at first glance, but look closer and the changes are clear.
Gone is the inner chrome ring and dividing silver bars. Instead, the black outer circle now flows directly into the Bavarian blue-and-white quadrants, with sharper, flatter details and a refined satin finish. The result? A cleaner, more modern roundel that still respects its heritage.
In this exclusive video, we take a closer look at the new design and share insights from Oliver Heilmer, BMW’s Head of Neue Klasse Design, on why these subtle changes matter.
Will fans notice? And what does this mean for BMW’s future identity in the electric era? Watch to see the details that are easy to miss – until you can’t unsee them.
