Retrofit of an older traffic signal for the nearly-finished Edgewood Ave cycletrack in New Haven at the intersection with Ella T Grasso Blvd. New 360 video detector calls an exclusive bike phase for the bike lane located to the left of the general travel lane to control left turn conflicts across the bike lane.

This signal phasing and detection design requires bikes to arrive at the stop line in order to call the exclusive phase, so unfortunately it is not possible for a bike to arrive on a green bike signal. Total signal cycle is 80 seconds peak and 70 seconds off peak. Pedestrian phases are concurrent and only illuminate when called by the pushbutton.
