It's save to say I've never been so excited about a slab of concrete.
Even before we got the Weber Summit Charcoal grill and started a youtube channel, we had begun to outgrow our outdoor space with just the Komodo Kamado, the kettles, and of course the Weber genesis gasser.
Several grills were stored in the garage at all times including the Komodo Kamado. Recently I made a very difficult decision to sell the Komodo kamado. It's an extremely nice grill but I wasn't using it enough to justify the value...and it spent most of it's life in the garage. It went to a good home and that freed up some cash to expand and build the new patio.
With grilling companies starting to send me grills to use for the channel, the extra space will be nice to have and if this youtube ride comes to an end, ultimately the expanded patio will be good for resale value on the house and will give us a nice place to lay out.
That was just a check to see if anybody actually reads this stuff. Of course I don't lay out. Have you seen me. I'm pasty white. Actually we will use the space for a fire pit.
