IDF soldiers face unprecedented risks when traveling abroad — how can they prepare?

On The Power Pod with Mathew Cohen, Shurat HaDin President Nitsana Darshan-Leitner explains why the organization launched SHACHPATZ, an app designed to help protect IDF soldiers and reservists traveling overseas.

SHACHPATZ provides critical information about potentials risk and incidents in destinations around the world, helping Israelis be prepared before they travel, and guides them on how to respond if questioned or interrogated abroad. It also provides contact information for Israeli embassies and consulates around the world, gives users a way to reach Shurat HaDin directly if something happens, and allows members of the community to send alerts warning others about emerging threats.

“SHACHPATZ” means “flak jacket” in Hebrew—This new app helps Israelis know and prepare for risks before their next trip.
