At MWC Barcelona, I got a close look at TCL’s new NXTPAPER AMOLED display technology — and it’s one of the most impressive screens I’ve seen in quite a while. In this video I look at glare reduction, flicker, colour accuracy, outdoor visibility and how close this really gets to a paper-like phone experience.
There are still some trade-offs, especially around polarised sunglasses, but this feels like a very interesting next step for anyone who wants a more comfortable, more intentional screen without giving up proper colour and brightness.
