Neuro Transmissions | Neuroscientist Breaks Down Yanny vs. Laurel Auditory Illusion @neurotransmissions | Uploaded 6 years ago | Updated 20 hours ago
Is it "Yanny" or is it "Laurel"? How does this auditory illusion work? It's fun being a neuroscientist when stuff like this goes viral. I get to explain why people think this confusing piece of audio says two different things. And the explanation might surprise you! We messed with the audio in this video to hopefully help you hear BOTH Yanny and Laurel. It's amazing that the brain can allow us to hear different words, even when we're listening to the same audio. Anyway, we hope you enjoy Yanny Laurel explained by neuroscience!
Oh, one more thing, I'll also show off the "brainstorm or green needle" auditory illusion, which is pretty ridiculous. If you haven't seen it yet, stick around to try it yourself!
