We are on day 2 of our Koh Kong, Cambodia adventure. Today we are checking out Nesat Village, where several expats and locals have started a "community of like minded people". It's a collection of restaurants, guesthouses, and small shops - many of which are owned and operated by foreigners. Ultimately, they would like it to become a tourist destination for people looking for a chill vibe. With a photographic lagoon close by, mangroves, kayaking, a beach, and a small local fishing village - perhaps this area could be the next Kampot.
Kampot is often labeled a "chill river town", but recently it's become more commercial with an artificial beach, and a Starbucks taking over the former fish market.
But with a new paved road leading right up to Nesat Village, perhaps Nesat is the next big destination for people looking to soak up that Cambodia chill vibe.
