Rescue teams crawled through narrow tunnels at the Langtang Hydropower Project in Nepal's Rasuwa district, video released by the Nepali Army on Monday (August 31) showed, as efforts intensified to reach hundreds feared trapped after last week's catastrophic floods.

The footage showed rescuers using ropes to navigate confined, debris-filled passages inside the tunnels.

Nepal's army said search teams were using excavators, controlled blasts and searchlights to clear mud and water and gain access to blocked tunnel sections.
