Sorry to randomly reappear after 4 years of inactivity, but I wanted to upload this amazing level by PotatoBaby!
I played it a while back since it was public on his profile as unfinished, and he finally finished it. This is probably one of my favorite levels, I love the colors, the simple but very effective designs, and the fun gameplay also well synced with the song, as well as being very sight-readable!
This is also influenced by the song, which is the same as one of my favorite levels, Slam by Xronom, a dear old friend of mine 😎

Of course, like every time, there's some stuff have to point out, that i would've liked to see and is not in the level, because I am never happy 🤓☝️
I noticed the addition of 2.2 features such as SFX for coins (which I didn't get in the video). Not only do I think the volume is too high, but I really would have loved to see other implementations such as camera controls and especially shaders. I am sure that in some parts of the song the shaders if well used could give an extra point to the level, which would get this an epic rating for sure.
Also, I would have liked to see a lot more pulses and flashes, as the song is very dynamic, while the level, despite the great colors, is mostly gray, which creates a slight contrast between song and level.
Finally, I would have preferred more variation in the custom backgrounds. The level as the name says, is Castle themed, so it makes sense that most of the BGs are bricks (except around 60% that are mixed with clouds), but I would have preferred more variation, maybe something neon, again to fit with the name.
But other than that, it's definitely one of my favorite levels and I had a lot of fun playing it, I even wrote to PotatoBaby the first time to tell him not to abandon the project and finish it.
I hope he releases new levels soon, and I can't wait to see what he can do with all the new features in 2.2!


Speaking instead of my inactivity, I have always been active community-side, I just talk a little less publicly 😎
After my unmod in March 2020, whatever friends I had made through GD completely disappeared except for those few trusted ones, so I wasn't seen around much.
I found a job and started enjoying real life more outside of video games, which led me to have much less time to build new levels, however, I never stopped! And I hope this new update will be a good opportunity to build again and releasing something new, so stay tuned 🤙🤙🤙
