Born in Coventry Neol Davies was the founder, guitarist and main songwriter of The Selecter during 1979-1981.
He wrote the instrumental tune 'The Selecter' from which the band took their name, and their hit singles 'On My Radio', 'Three Minute Hero' and 'Missing Words'.
