Neo Software was one of the most fascinating and overlooked game studios of the 1990s. Founded in Austria by Hannes Seifert, Niki Laber, and Peter Baustädter, the company created an astonishing range of games across multiple genres — from the sci-fi RPG Whale’s Voyage to the burglary simulator The Clue!, the strategy hit Alien Nations, and the later Rockstar Vienna era.
