I was joined by Jose Cruz and Tianfeng to test some AES stuff. First, we confirmed that the RetroTINK 4K works perfectly with both original and bypassed 3-6 AES motherboards - Something the RT5x required tweaking to work.

Next, we wanted to test a different RGB upgrade: What if we bypassed the subcarrier circuit like we did with the Genesis 1?? Will that improve video while retaining composite video? Well, it didn't work. BUT, this was great info that will further our testing next time. And if you'd like to try the current 3-6 bypass that disables composite video, but REALLY improves RGB, try this: retrorgb.com/aes-rgb-bypass.html

For reference, here's the Genesis 1 subcarrier bypass that DOES work :) retrorgb.com/genesis-1-keep-composite-while-improving-rgb.html
