Hello. I'm oriOta.
Here's a vocal cover of Neko Hacker's "Sleep Tight" feat. macoto, with original translated lyrics.
What dreams did you have today?

I made this cover to celebrate the 1st "anniversary" of the Japanese creator group OFUTONE.
This was their first "official" work after their "debut", so it seemed fitting (plus their "previous" works are kind of confusing as they weren't labeled that yet).
It's also been a year now since I've gotten into all the different works they have been putting out.
Starting out with Neko Hacker just around the time that OFUTONE "formed", I then spiraled and watched everything from this group; wotoha's illustrations, funya's videos, and even the songs NNZN mixed while he was still a part of it.
Additionally, it's now been nearly a year since I posted my first cover with the ori voice, hasn't it?
I got a huge boost in confidence ever since that HSH cover.
That is why I'm doing this cover! As a sort of "thank you" for all the work that not just Neko Hacker, but all of OFUTONE has done within just about a year of "existing"!

That said, you may have noticed that I wasn't posting much. On here, at least.
The pandemic has been absolutely brutal right now. And despite not being much of an outside person, I have also just not been productive inside.
I have way too many plans and I do want to do them all, but I just couldn't bring myself to open After Effects or FL Studio for some reason.
I already missed a deadline for one of the covers I was planning. I decided I don't wanna miss this one though. It just so happens though that there are a few new problems.
I'm writing this from another country right now. No, not the country I already live in (which is "not Japan"); I'm stuck with my family as I was brought to their country just as Omicron surfaced.
As a result, I have to work starting from zero again. (GET IT??) I had to use a family laptop, reinstall some programs and recreate this video template because I decided not to bring it with me for some reason.
Not to mention that this house is rather small and there isn't really a room where I have complete privacy. Or an air conditioner that isn't automatic and lets me turn it off.
Oh, and the fact that my throat always decides to give in on the day of recording, when on other days it's fine. My super scuffed mixing doesn't help but show it even more...
Despite all that, I managed to pull it off and still decided to release this. I'll probably even let my family see just what the heck I've been doing... if I stop being a coward.

But think of it this way.
I'm already from another country, and am stuck even further from the "home" of OFUTONE.
Their work has reached so far, sticking true to their mission of spreading music to not just the world anymore - even the universe!
I guess I should just forget all the problems I have and take a break after this.
...
After all, I have one more thing to take care of.
And I need to clear my mind, and Start--
