I want to dedicate this to the passing of Gary Brooker last week, the singer-songwriter of Procol Harum that wrote one of my favorite songs ever, “A Whiter Shade of Pale.” The song is a clinic in memorable melody especially with the inclusion of Bach’s “Air on a G String” quote. Sheer perfection on every level. RIP, Mr. Brooker.
I’ve played this over the years on many tours and it never gets old for me. (This version features Enrico and Walter from our Alive in Denmark)
