We're a bit late but here is our Need For Speed Payback review.
We reviewed the game on the new Xbox One X console.
If you want a summary of our thoughts on NFS Payback here are our pros and cons:
PROS:
-Arcade physics work well here and make driving fun and exciting.
-Visuals are great! Cars and environments are nice to look at.
-The cheesy story and dialogue are fun as long as you don't take it too seriously
CONS:
-The car classes and dealerships are too segmented.
-The "Speed Card" upgrade system is overly complex and random.
-You can't do visual upgrades (body kits, etc) without doing random tasks.
VERDICT:
If you're a huge fan of Need For Speed games then NFS Payback definitely worth it and you should pick it up as it won't disappoint you.
However, if you're a more casual fan just looking for a fun arcade racer then I still think NFS Payback is worth buying but after it goes on sale.
FYI: The PS4 version of Need For Speed Payback will be on sale for $35 on Black Friday at Best Buy!
