Part 2 of my ongoing project is proving to be a lot more complicated than part 1 was to finish. I was hoping to have the video out by now, as I had mentioned in my last community post that I hoped to have it out by early February. Well now that's come & gone as I'm only just over 1/3 of the way through recording, and I haven't even started editing it yet. So to fill in the time while I work towards hopefully finishing this project soon, I went ahead and recorded a second playthrough on the 2012 version of NFS Most Wanted. The whole playthrough is pre-recorded but I'm gonna put more effort into editing it this time. And since I'm using this to give me more time to finish my project, the videos won't all be posted within a week like last time. It will be a 10 part series like last time but most of them will be much longer. I'm gonna try to hopefully keep all of them from exceeding an hour.
Last time I did this a few months ago I just went the normal route and completed the game the way most people probably do, just winning races in a variety of cars as that's the fastest way to earn SP to get to the top. I was quite rusty at the time as I hadn't touched the game in several years up to that point and was just playing it safe. But beating the game is also quite easy this way. And since I've now shaken the rust off, I decided to make things more challenging this time by only using the Tesla Roadster Sport for the entirety of the playthrough. The slowest car in the game top speed wise at just 120 MPH untuned and around 140 MPH with the long gears upgrade installed. Once the tutorial ends I'll immediately head over to the nearest Tesla jackspot & switch over to it. And from there I can't ever drive anything else again. Because there's only a handful of races per car to do and as redoing races in cars you've already used gets you next to no SP, we'll have to use other methods to reach the 1,000,000 SP needed to challenge the number 1 racer and beat the game.
Like smashing through all the billboards & security gates, triggering all the speed cameras, and finding all the jackspots. And other more niche things like getting the pro version of every upgrade for the car, we're gonna need them badly anyway. And of course police pursuits as there's plenty of SP bonuses for milestones related to that. Getting all the collectibles is at the top of my priority list however as getting every billboard, security gate, and speed camera each nets a 10,000 SP bonus which will go a long way here, in addition to the little bit you get for each individual one, plus there are more milestones in between. I’ve also got all the DLC content so I can take advantage of the airport from the Terminal Velocity pack along with all the extra most wanted races the DLCs add for even more SP, and cars too of course.
As this is the only electric car in the game, and since I'll be having the music off to avoid copyright issues, this will be a strangely quiet playthrough. But since this makes finding jackspots easier as you can hear the radios playing when you get close to one, I sure as hell don't mind. If your having trouble finding those last few jackspots to get every single one, I highly recommend trying this.
