I took the R1 carb'd KE70 out to a practice day in August. I spent most of the day being emo about the old girl's lack of power. It kept running out of puff coming out of turn one and three. If a rebuild, cams, compression and a better diff ratio don't rectify the issue, I'll be looking into getting a 4AGZE.

Having said that, it was an awesome day and apart from the carbs falling off on my first run the car didn't miss a beat for the rest of the day. It was awesome fun hitting up basky for the first time in 3 years. It's a great track, I love putting on some angle coming down the esses. I've really got to put some lock stops back in as I've made a nice bare metal mark on the inside of the wheel wells and torn off chunks of tyre on the chassis rail. Which was great for making the front end stop. That combined with my lack of talent caused a few spins.
