On February 17, 2014, a near-Earth asteroid (NEA) labeled 2000-EM-26, will make a close pass of Earth. Scientists say the asteroid has an estimated diameter of THREE football fields and will be traveling at approximately 27,000 mph. Remember it was just a year ago when an asteroid pierced the sky over Chelyabinsk, Russia, damaging thousands of homes and breaking windows which caused numerous injuries.
