In this brief video, we continue the theme of our visit to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga back in November.
This video features an appearance by recently-repainted GP9 #710. This engine was built in 1950 as a GP7 for the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railroad. Later it was upgraded to a GP9 by it's next owner, Amtrak. This engine has been beautifully restored into it's NC&StL appearance by TVRM and is used wherever needed.
In this video, we'll see the old Veteran in freight service. The 710 is seen bringing back an empty boxcar for the Norfolk Southern interchange on the other side of the Grand Junction station area.
