Musical themes for sporting events capture the range of emotions in sports and become synonymous with the events themselves — think Monday Night Football, Summer Olympics, or UEFA Champions League. With this in mind, NBC and Golf Channel called upon SAM to develop an original theme and supporting music package for the Augusta National Women's Amateur Tournament. With the goal of inspiring greater interest in the women's game while representing one of golf's greatest courses, it goes without saying that the music for this prestigious event had to meet the highest standards.
SAM's creative team defined a light and lively orchestral motif that would stand the test of time alongside such themes as The Masters, while building excitement for the ANWA Tournament, and reflecting the legacy of Augusta National. We then brought the theme to life, recording top orchestral musicians in our Dallas studios to capture an authentic and emotional tone.
The music package provided the inspiration and polish that NBC and Golf Channel were seeking for the widely-viewed event, and is featured in promotional lead-ups and tournament broadcasts.
