Watch the show open at 1:51. Katie Couric and Matt Lauer host the 'Today Show' from Sydney as part of NBC's coverage of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Among other things, Matt climbed the Harbour Bridge, Katie took her kids to the Blue Mountains (not included here) and wiggled her toes in the sand at Bondi.
Note: this video is a loose mix of recordings over several days of broadcasts. The clips are a little rushed - I recall running low on space when originally copying to DVD for friends a while back. So, until I dig deeper into my old videotapes..!
