1 in 5 patients drop out of fertility treatment. Many dealing with infertility also experience feelings of grief, sadness, anxiety- even depression. Even after overcoming infertility, some people deal with PTSD. PTSD is very common in patients with prior losses too. Mental health issues are severely under recognized and ignored. But we need to be focusing on both the physical and mental aspects of treatment and building resilience as the journey is more like a marathon than a sprint.
