Breaks fit for an Olympics! In honor of Paris 2024's opening ceremony, here's breaks that aired during the opening ceremony of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta off NBC! These aren't all of them, the recorder skipped commercials over the first hour or so I believe, but a good lot of them are here!
From KING-TV 5 in Seattle, you got your sappy slow ads typical for the Games BUT you also got Jason Alexander doing wacky basketball stunts while promoting pretzels, Spinal Tap promoting Visa, Jeff Foxworthy doing a Wizard of Oz type thing for NBC, and a WHOLE lotta Coca-Cola (which makes sense, it was happening in their hometown). Why can't Olympics ads be like this anymore
