CrossFit Games | Navigating Expectations as a CrossFit Athlete — Emma Lawson Opens Up @CrossFitGamesTV | Uploaded July 2024 | Updated October 2024, 18 minutes ago.
In a recent chat with Dave Castro, six-time CrossFit Games qualifier Emma Lawson 🇨🇦 opened up about navigating the pressure and expectations that come with being a competitive athlete.

“It’ll always be a work in progress.”

Lawson competed in the teenage division for three years and won the Girls 16-17 division in 2021.

In her final year as a teenager, she won the Atlas Games Semifinal and qualified for the 2022 CrossFit Games as an individual. She placed sixth overall as a 17-year-old rookie.

Last year at the Games, the Canada native donned the leader’s jersey for several events and landed on the podium as the second-Fittest Woman on Earth. She is currently the youngest individual to podium at the CrossFit Games.

After winning the worldwide Individual Quarterfinal and finishing third at the North America West Semifinal, 19-year-old Lawson is heading to Texas as the youngest competitor in the women’s division.
