How to Build a Straw Bale House, Our Plans Have Changed.
Instead of pushing forward with the construction of the straw bales walls, we're forced to take a hard look at the time line as well as the upcoming Monsoon season.
We've decided to change gears and concentrate on other, equally necessary aspects of the build. We will be working on getting supply lines for both water ( from our well share) and electric from our solar shed to the house. We will also be trenching for our drain/waste lines connecting the septic system to the house. We will also be building decks on both the east and west sides of the house. This was already planned, but by completing those beforehand, it will make the actual construction of the walls much easier.
