WALK FOR TRUTH
A five week journey known as The National Walk for Truth ended this morning, coinciding with the start of Reconciliation week. The National Walk for Truth was led by Gunditjmara Kerrupmara man Travis Lovett, who today signed a shared a message etched onto this kangaroo skin urging the Prime Minister to commit to a National Process of Truth telling. Travis has journeyed more than 900 km over 39 days starting in Melbourne and ending in Canberra during Reconciliation week. While there are probably faster ways to get here, the walk itself was designed to encourage collective healing and educate the wider community. So people can better understand Australia's history and work together to address the challenges facing First Peoples today.
EUROPE HEATWAVE
Heat records are being smashed across Europe, as the continent swelters through an unprecedented heatwave. People everywhere have been flocking to water, including the River Thames, as temperatures in the UK hit 35 degrees celsius yesterday. That's the highest temperature they've ever recorded in May. London's train service got pretty heated due to the Underground having no air conditioning. Meanwhile there were some less than ideal conditions for players and fans at the French Open with France also logging its hottest ever May days this week. Experts say it's the result of climate change, which is causing heatwaves to arrive earlier with more intense temperatures.
NASA MOON BASE
Today NASA announced the next steps for their $20 billion dollar moon base plans that'll see humans living on the moon by 2032. Phase 1 involves sending up equipment and vehicles to explore and map the terrain. Including Blue Origin's Endurance lander which will help with delivering cargo and early missions and Astrobotic's Griffin-1 lander which can carry rovers and heavy equipment. Phase 2 will see the base being built and then phase 3 will see astronauts living and working on the moon. NASA says the whole thing will help the US carry out a bunch of scientific experiments, potentially mine valuable resources and travel to Mars more easily. But they're not the only ones with big plans. China and Russia are teaming up to build their own permanent moon base by 2035. But for now, we'll just wait and see how this space race pans out.

When you think of Pope Leo XIV, you probably don't think of him sitting behind the wheel of a Ferrari. During a meeting in Italy the President of Ferrari presented the pope with a Ferrari Steering wheel and an exclusive look at the first ever electric Ferrari. Perhaps the Pope in the market for a new Pope mobile?
WHITE HOUSE FIGHTING CAGE
Construction is underway at the White House for a UFC Fighting Cage. Yeah when I think of the official residence and primary workplace of the President of the United States I don't necessarily think of fighting cages. But this one is being built to showcase a mixed martial arts event on the US President Donald Trump's 80th Birthday.
DUCT TAPE
In Japan, a security guard has become one of the countries most in demand graphic artists. Shuetsu Sato started making signs out of duct tape to help travellers navigate this train station in Tokyo where he works. His signs have captured the attention of many and he's received requests to make lettering for all sorts of things, including a collaboration with Nike.
