The second track off of my debut album, Through These Rough Years.
The meaning of this song is pretty simple; it's just a song about being a loner; being introverted and not having very many friends. It also touches on how it feels when nobody wants to try and talk to you or make friends with you because they just think you are boring and uninteresting.
LYRICS:
-Verse 1-
I sit in the darkness, all alone
No one’s around
The loneliness crawls into my skin
The feelings force me down
I almost prefer it this way, I’ve always kept to myself
Everyone just thinks that I’m boring, so I hide in my shell
-Pre Chorus-
Nothing inside, within the pain that I hide
No one cares, it’s just not fair,
But I have to get used to it
-Chorus-
So I wait and hide in here
Give in to my fear
Nothing changes, just ignore me again
I don’t understand,
My face in my hands
Am I really just that dull and boring?
Day after day, this bad luck just won’t go away
Please tell me,
Just please tell me what I’m doing wrong
I’ve always been a loner
-Verse 2-
I walk through the deserted streets
I’m always in my head
In my own world, I hide
Away from dread
Facing this world is just too much
Everyone’s so cold
Am I really okay?
It feels like I’m growing old
-Pre Chorus-
Nothing inside, within the pain that I hide
No one cares, it’s just not fair,
But I have to get used to it
-Chorus-
So I wait and hide in here
Give in to my fear
Nothing changes, just ignore me again
I don’t understand,
My face in my hands
Am I really just that dull and boring?
Day after day, this bad luck just won’t go away
Please tell me,
Just please tell me what I’m doing wrong
I’ve always been a loner
-Chorus-
So I wait and hide in here
Give in to my fear
Nothing changes, just ignore me again
I don’t understand,
My face in my hands
Am I really just that dull and boring?
Day after day, this bad luck just won’t go away
Please tell me,
