September is Deaf Awareness Month! Here is a fun fact about the James Webb Space Telescope in American Sign Language, signed by NASA Goddard mission director Apurva Varia. "Webb will tell us more about the atmospheres of extrasolar planets, and perhaps even find the building blocks of life elsewhere in the universe. In addition to other planetary systems, Webb will also study objects within our own Solar System."
Note that we have added English closed captioning for those who don't read ASL - but please also note what a rich language ASL is. As a result the caption is not "word for word/sign," but it should still help guide the viewer in interpretation.
