All Day Sparkler
The outpouring of plasma in all directions from an active region suggested the visual look of a streaming sparkler. In this one-day close-up video (Aug. 22-23, 2012) in the 171 Angstrom wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light, the streaming is constant, intermixed with several brighter bursts. To suggest a sense of scale, over 25 Earths could fit across this image.
