Active Region 1598 has produced 18 solar flares from October 20 to October 22, 2012. And the day is not even over yet.
Here is a look at some of those flares. The bright flash in the beginning of the video is the M9.0 class solar flare from October 20, 2012 at 18:07 UT. The other M-class flare was on October 21, 2012 at 19:59 UT.
It does not include the M5.0 solar flare from 18:51 UT today, October 22, 2012. The forecast calls for additional M-class solar flares.
