NASA launched its latest space telescope early Sunday, Aug. 30, lifting off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The Roman space telescope is set to embark on a multi-year mission to map out the cosmos, survey for planets around other stars and explore dark energy.
The ship, named after U.S. astronomer Nancy Grace Roman, was designed with a panoramic view of the vast reaches of space. Take a look.
