Before humans can live and work on Mars, it’s important to learn as much as we can about the Red Planet. What better way to do that then collect a Martian sample and return it to Earth?

A group of NASA competition winners from West Virginia University is building upon technology they developed for NASA’s Sample Return Robot Centennial Challenge to create an artificially intelligent rover capable of Mars sample retrieval.
