Unfortunately, a few nights ago, we learned of the untimely and tragic passing of violinist and singer Nuria Luis, a multifaceted artist and great person.

Arcadia, the second album by Narsilion, refines the duo’s Neofolk and Neoclassical Darkwave style into a more cohesive and immersive experience. Built on acoustic guitars, flutes, subtle orchestration, and ethereal male/female vocals, the album creates a continuous atmosphere inspired by medieval fantasy, nature, and pagan imagery.
Compared to their debut, it feels more polished and emotionally focused, prioritizing mood and continuity over individual standout tracks. While its slow, meditative pacing may not appeal to listeners seeking variety or intensity, it succeeds in building a consistent dreamlike world reminiscent of acts like Dead Can Dance or Arcana.
Overall, Arcadia is a solid and atmospheric release that helped define Narsilion’s early identity within the Neofolk/Neoclassical scene.
