Today in the studio were testing out our new hot torch. The torch was a much needed upgrade in the studio and it helps to specifically heat up small sections of the glass. Were using it to create a color pattern called "wigwag". Traditionally this is used in lots of flameworking, but some soft glass artists use it as well. We roll canes onto a bubble, and then eat them up in rings, twisting them back and forth to create our pattern.
