Thanks to the hard work of local and out of area crews, the Narran Lake Rd Fire burning in the state's north west was contained yesterday afternoon. The fire, which began a week ago, is more than 4,100 hectares in size. Firefighters have dealt with hot temperatures, erratic winds and thick, hard-to-access vegetation to bring it under control.
