Narnia are back with their tenth studio album, X, and this time they are pushing their sound further than ever before. In this video I review the new album track by track and share my thoughts on whether their evolution into progressive metal territory actually works or whether they should have stayed in their lane.
X was released on May 29, 2026, through Sound Pollution Distribution, and it doubles as a celebration of the band's 30th anniversary in the international metal scene. Produced and mixed by guitarist CJ Grimmark at The Lighthouse in Norway and mastered by Thomas "Plec" Johansson at Studio Bohus, the album is a tight, focused ten-track record with no filler and a runtime of around forty to forty-five minutes.
