This is my first foray into Napoleon Total War's naval aspect.
Here, the French fleet commanded by Pierre-Charles Villeneuve and yours truly attacks the main British fleet under famed Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson off the coast of southern Ireland. This traditional rivalry is marred by the fact that my mediocre early command skills are painfully evident (don't sail your ships in parallel lines like me folks).
This battle is ironic for history buffs as Nelson's real-life victory at Trafalgar (1805) was over the same French Admiral, Villeneuve, and was a decisive battle that ended Napoleon's grand design at an invasion of England. In my game, Villeneuve is victorious, and enables the conquest of both London and Great Britain as a whole.
