Naomi Klein is a world-recognized journalist, author and academic, whose books have been translated into over 30 languages. Some of the most famous and influential have been No Logo, The Shock Doctrine, On Fire, No is Not Enough, and This Changes Everything, with How to Change Everything just released for a younger crowd. In June, 2021, the University of British Columbia announced Klein’s appointment to its department of geography as the UBC Professor of Climate Justice. In conversation with Ian McKay, Director of the Wilson Institute for Canadian History, Klein will explore what humanity has learned from the pandemic about the consequences of past practices and the possibilities of more hopeful futures.
