NanoPC-T6 is a powerful single board computer from FriendlyElec. It has the same Rockchip RK3588 SoC as the NanoPi R6S does, plus additional M.2 M-Key for NVMe SSD and M.2 E-Key for Wireless module, such as WiFi & Bluetooth. It also has a Mini-PCIe connector where you can connect a 4G/LTE module or Wireless module. Together with 2 x 2.5GbE ports, the NanoPC-T6 is idea for edge gateway or high performance router.
In this video, we are going to test out the NanoPC-T6 performance with FriendlyWrt. FriendlyWrt is a fork of OpenWrt, that was developed by FriendlyElec for their NanoPi & NanoPC series. It comes with pre-installed packages & drivers to make the use of the SBC easier.
For this tests, I have installed the below modules:
+ Realtek RTL8822CE WiFi 5 module
+ Quectel EC25-EM for LTE/4G connection
+ Intel Optane NVMe SSD (just to see the power consumption, no actual test)
The tests consist of WAN to LAN throughput test, WiFi 5 througput with the RTL8822CE, 4G/LTE speedtest and Power consumption overview.
